Friday - worked from home.
Saturday - did ~5 hours of raking. Only the front yard is done. The backyard is a bitch due to the 23-ish trees back there. (Not counting the forest.)
Sunday - WoW from 6am to 10pm. Yeah.

I ended up soloing Naxx (one pet). Also finished AQ40 (one pet.)
Got a bunch of levels - priest from 70 to 72, DK2 to 76 + Arena weapon, all of my 85s to 86, a bunch of Darkmoon stuff.

I should probably get a list of which pets drop from which bosses. We got Mandy 2 of the ones out of MC and 1 out of AQ40. Mandy also got 3 of the bug mounts.

I was sick this weekend and slept for 15 hours on Saturday.

I took the pinball thing a step further and connected it to the big TV. It is AWESOME!

To whom still exists? and how are you all doing? for some reason nostalgia has slapped me upside my head and I thought to look in and say hi

-Shasti
PS. Did anyone ever try the relaunched EQ1 servers. I was on Fippy Darkpaw for the first 3 or so months. I was really kinda fun until they brought out Luclin. Whats the point of playing a game you want to remember again if the server keeps hurrying forward as fast as it could. (shrug)

I'm still here (Jarroll). A few others still read, but it is just me and Mike (Mileron - bard from different guild) that every post anymore. Dellanie is still here but busy with school.

I hopped on the FTP EQ1 stuff off and on for a few weeks hoping to run into folks, but that didn't really happen too much. I then had a harddrive crash and never did reinstall after that.

We're still playing WoW. While we have a ton of alliance characters on Argent Dawn, most of our time is now spent playing with a coworker of mine horde-side on Quel'dori.

Hope things have been well with you. On our end, we had a kiddo in March of 2011 and that has been keeping us busy along with our work. Aside from that it is just work, kiddo, and gaming when able.

is there any MMO games on the horizon that you guys are looking into?
I played L2 for a long while and then SW:tOR for a bit.
its not a MMO but I am still playing WoT

-Shasti
PS. its kinda funny to use this name, I have not gone by it in forever.
The name(s) I have been using recently is Kaitsumi (on EQ1 it was my VSH WAR) or Rhada (my HIE CLR)

We aren't looking at any MMO games at all right now. We have very little time for WoW right now between work, kiddo, and Mandy's school. If WoW went away tomorrow I would probably work through the backlog of stuff I have on Steam rather than trying to jump into another MMO right away.

My latest obsession has been a pinball emulator. I've been playing on the Data East Star Wars table and Medieval Madness tables a ton.

I recently finished up my latest playthrough Final Fantasy 8 (I'm a bit of a FF junky) although I didn't do anything special with it (ie no single character, no magic, etc style of game). I always loved the story of FF12 but absolutely hated the system (which they greatly improved on for FF13). I am currently running through it on an emulator and modified a save file a bit to make things a ton easier. After that I'm toying with the idea of a no magic game on FF6 or maybe something goofy on a Kingdom Hearts playthrough.

On the Steam side of things I got into the beta for the new Defense Grid stuff. This is a tower defense style of game that I've enjoyed (and I normally don't care for those).I got into the beta via supporting the Kickstarter. They don't have all the artwork in, but the levels play very well. I've also been playing FTL - Faster Than Light which is an interesting ship management style of game. If feels like a cross between BSG, Firefly, and Star Wars. It has been around for a while but it went on sale for cheap this past weekend.

It dwindled to just me and Mike posting here and we talk almost every day over IM so we just gave up on posting each week.

Mandy is still doing the school/work thing (2 semesters to go). I am doing the work/teaching bit. After all that you throw kiddo into the mix. We are keeping pretty busy.

I've been playing Diablo 3 lately. I got two of my alts up to 60, got my hardcore up to 33, and working on my last two alts.

Banner Saga releases tomorrow so I'll probably take a good look at that (Kickstarter game done here in Austin).

I don't think anyone is playing EQ at all that I am aware of. It would be an interesting idea at times, but with the 2 kiddos we have and work, time is at such a premium there simply is not time for any gaming, let alone the time it would take to do something like EQ. It might be fun to fire up though so I'll have to look at grabbing the install file.

What all have you been up to?

Our 2nd kiddo, Kinnison, just turned 1. Our other, Hannah, is 4.5.

mostly just existing and moving along.
Dee (Nonia) and I bought a home, a year and a half ago.
a 2 story apartment, decent sized. spent a like half a year
renovating and making it ours. Have not really found anything
gaming wise that really caught me for a while now
last was World of Tanks. till the f'ed me over.

Was trying to redo my crew's skills. 6 man crew. somehow 5 of
them got respec'ed correctly, 1 of them did not, a loss of like 6
months of work. was my favorite tank. I petitioned to get it fixed.
told them what happened, did not even want anything except my
character restored. They would not do it. citing a lamn newly
implemented policy. whatever, I stopped playing.

then EQ made a new pair of progression servers, rewinding everything
back to as if it were launch. '99 not everything is perfect. quoting them,
they rewound everything as far back as they could. But some changes
cant be undone while still using the current game engine. hence Freeport
is the newer version, research uses the new system with ink and hides,
rather then the old one using runes, words, pages, etc.

there are also instances of exp zones. accessed with /pick that prevent a
lot of overcrowded dungeons. its actually pretty nice.

highest level so far is 48 (max is 50 cap), a chanter. I am sure Lumpus
would be proud... hahah...

PS. honestly its not quite the same as it once was in respect to grinds.
In the early levels, I seriously did like 4-5 levels inside of one exp session
even in the later 30's and 40's it was still like a level or two in a good group.

exp pots can be purchased in the game store. for +10 or 25% exp. if you
really want to jump up fast.
